Out with the Old, In With the New

Last weekend after Mom cleared out her closet, I replenished mine.  I can not believe it is almost the end of summer, and I am stocking up on Fall clothing.  I love a brightly colored cocktail dress and sky-high stilettos, but this trip was strictly about functionality.  Among the great finds were, a pair of light wash matchstick jeans, a cuffed boyfriend blazer and a hand full of neutral blouses.  Stores are having awesome end-of-season sales, so take advantage of the discounts while you can!

Nowadays, books are being replaced with Kindles, and computers are being traded in for touchscreen tablets.  Despite consumers' desires to get their hands on the next best thing, there is something endearing about rediscovering a hot commodity from our past. The Spitfire MP3 Cassette Player has found a way to combine today's technology while paying homage to yesteryear's Walkman.  This retro gadget is capable of holding up to 4GB of music and costs less than $50. Take that iPod!  So while I can't see anyone carting a boom box around on their shoulder anytime soon, I think we can all appreciate a good throwback once in a while.
